So what’s in the box? You’ll get everything you need to get started including your chosen aquarium, light unit, pump, transformer, air stone, filter cartridge and ceramic bed. The aquarium itself is an innovative masterpiece and is made of highly-resistant, clear and light acrylic, which is 10 times stronger than glass. (This is why they use it to make windows on aeroplanes) Acrylic also has a much higher transparency rate than glass, so it was a no-brainer as to why they opted for this material.
Once you receive your delivery of the BiOrb, or you take it home from one of our stores, it is simple to install in just a few easy steps highlighted in the printed guide you’ll receive in the box.
It is important that you wash the tank, filter and decorations as advised and wait at least 2 weeks until the water has matured before introducing any fish. And from then on, remember to welcome new fish gradually. You don’t want to add them too quickly or too many fish as you’ll affect the ammonia levels, which can be dangerous.
You’ll also get a very cool MCR light and remote control which has 16 different colour looks from red hot to deep blue, as well as 4 buttons which allow you to conveniently chose time cycles to simulate light conditions between day and night.
And what’s great is that with their wide range of decor you can change the interior space as you wish. So if you prefer trendy colours or completely natural, you’ll be spoilt for choice with their range of accessories. Sculptures can be placed around the air column for the ultimate effect as air bubbles rise from inside, and you can also add plants, miniature figures and pebbles as you desire. Question is, which ornaments will you choose to create your personal underwater world?
We also recommend you pick up a Maintenance Kit, which comes with a microfibre cleaning cloth for easy and gentle cleaning of the acrylic. The last thing you want to do is to damage your beautiful BiOrb. The kit also contains a high gloss polish and cleaning pads to ensure your BiOrb is looking its best. You’ll also get 2 filter cartridges, as you need to change them every 2 months, as well as a replacement air stone and water conditioning products. This handy kit will maintain your BiOrb for up to 16 weeks. A must have for BiOrb WATER owner.
Moving on to BiOrb AIR, this fully automated terrarium creates the perfect micro-climate for growing tropical plants as it replicates the natural conditions under a tropical forest canopy, enabling many species of plants to thrive as nature intended.
